Fall Updates and News

Fall in love with a good book at the Taylor Memorial Library!

We have so many great books waiting for you to pick them up.

Whether you’re looking for a western, romance, or thriller – you’ll find a story you love on our shelves. If you’re too busy to stop into the library, use your library card to check out audiobooks and ebooks through Overdrive! Simply sign in with your Winding Rivers library card to get started.

Our new bookshelves are in and looking great!

If you haven’t had a chance to see them, stop in anytime! We’ve doubled our shelving space for DVDs. We also added a new section to house our growing collection of graphic novels and comic books!

Also new this Fall: we have a new text message service available for anyone with a library card.

You only need a phone that can send and receive text messages. You’ll get reminders when your checkouts are due, when you have holds available, and when you can renew your overdue library materials. Just text “SIGNUP” to 608-313-5911. You’ll be asked to enter your library card number to get started.

Join us the Friday of Halloween weekend for spooky stories and chilling tales.

Terry Fisk, author of the Wisconsin Road Guide to Haunted Locations, will be coming to the Blair-Taylor School Auditorium on Friday, October 26th to give two presentations. At 6:00 pm, he’ll be telling stories from his research that are appropriate for listeners of all ages. At 8:00 pm, he’ll get a little scarier and share even more stories for an adult audience.

We’re open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2pm-7pm and Fridays from 9am-5pm.

Follow the Taylor Memorial Library on Facebook to see what’s on our shelves, get book recommendations, and check out any library news.
