HIRING – Library Director

The Taylor Memorial Library is seeking an enthusiastic leader to serve as Library Director.  The Library Director reports to a 7-member Board of Trustees and is responsible for the overall management of the library.  

Essential duties include building and maintaining the collection, managing the library budget, promoting the library, and developing programs for adults and children. Qualified applicants will be knowledgeable of technology, have strong communication and customer service skills, and be able to work independently in an organized and efficient manner.  

Candidates must be eligible for Grade III certification with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. (Eligibility requires 54 semester credits, half of which must be in the liberal arts and sciences.  Then, four specific library courses must be taken (can be taken online) within four years of hire.) The hourly wage of this part-time position is dependent on education and experience.
